MISSION, VISION & CORE OBJECTIVES


Our Mission

The Ghana Union of Canada (UCC) represents the Ghanaian Canadian community before the people and Government of Canada, promotes linkages with stakeholders and identifies and addresses the needs of the Ghanaian community in Canada to ensure its continued existence and development for the enhancement of Canada's socio-cultural fabric.

Our Vision

The Ghana Union of Canada (GUC) strives to be a proactive, national, united and self-sustaining body that provides a high standard of leadership for the Canada's Ghanaian Canadian from coast-to-coast.

OUR CORE OBJECTIVES

GUC's core objective includes:
  • Garner (create) a single consistent voice on federal government policies within our core pillars and present such consensus to the Canadian Government.
  • Drive initiatives for Capacity Building, community integration and advancement of common cause within our communities.
  • Assist member organization & individuals within our community to establish and manage inter-governmental settlement agencies generic to what Canadian Gov't requires yet unique enough to help in the settlement of new Ghanaian immigrants regardless immigration class they belong
  • Aggregate and refine our numbers for better representation & voice.
  • Celebrate and advance our dual Ghanaian Canadian Identity.
  • Strengthen inter-provincial initiative and knowledge sharing among Ghanaian associations and cultural groups.
  • Leverage the strength in the unified voice of Ghanaians in Canada to influence public policy measures that directly/indirectly impact their immigration, settlement, and integration into the fibre of Canadian society.
